Griff Cole, a depressed alcoholic just out of rehab, get's a visit from Natalie Martin, a family friend from Los Angeles who informs him of Donna's (Griff's fifteen year-old daughter) upcoming Junior High School graduation. Griff promises to attend - which might just as well be easier said than done. As Griff gets ready for his upcoming trip, he gets sidetracked when he decides to catch up with old friends
