Boston in the 1920s. Young debutante Catharine Robb of Concord is dating the wealthiest bachelor at the time, John D. Rockefeller III. Her future seems set -- a dream life in the upper echelons of society. But then, while studying at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, she meets Peter Whyte, a young Canadian painter from the mountains of Banff, Alberta. Their worlds are polar opposites, yet their passion for art pulls them together. As their attraction turns their lives upside down, they soon face the question: Can you find "home" in another person?
